I'm Featured At Darn Good Yarn!

Just one more post about Darn Good Yarn (for now). Two of my patterns are featured on their website! This was my first time writing down any of my patterns. I usually just pick up my yarn and my hook and go, which is why I have such a hard time making the same thing twice... Anyway, I am quite proud of myself and really excited to have my patterns featured.

So, buy the yarn, test the pattern and let me know what you think!

Who's Clues? Blue's Clues!

My little guy simply LOVES Blue's Clues. He has the song memorized and often starts doing the entire routine. He does it at home, at daycare, at the grocery store, in parking lots and I think he may even sing the song in his sleep. And he strongly prefers Steve over Joe, although he'll deal with it and still watch if Joe is on. This afternoon's showing of Blue's Clues made me decide to take a peek on Etsy and see what handmade Blue puppy items are out there. There's some great stuff!!

I would love to make one of these for my little guy, he'd love it! Blue from Blue's Clues - 8 inches amigurumi doll crohet pattern by siemprejosefina

Featured EtsyBlogger - LazyTCrochet

As you may have noticed, I was pretty much MIA in June and therefore I missed the Featured EtsyBlogger for the month, so I would to feature LazyTCrochet one month late. There are some simply gorgeous accessories in her shop ranging from scarves, shawls and capelets to cowls and scarves to hats to gloves and mitts! This lady does great things with yarn!

This cowl neck poncho is so pretty and available for a great price:

You better grab this Market Bag pattern before I do! It looks like so much fun to make and totally useful!

Visit LazyTCrochet at her Etsy shop and her blog.

Happy Shopping!

Fun with Amigurumi!

Don't you just love those little Amigurumi toys?? Yup, me too! Hence my newest little creations!

Here are two super cute bunnies made with a pattern I bought from CrochetPattern.Etsy.Com and two adorable little aliens made from a pattern I found at Lion Brand Yarn's website.

This heather gray baby safe bunny is part of Dean's first Easter basket. I can't wait to give it to him, he'll love it!

I know you are just in love with this diva Easter bunny that I made for my 5 year old cousin. She has black safety eyes and a darling little smile. I spent hours staring at it knowing it was missing something and then it dawned on me - bows on her ears!! Perfect!

And now for the aliens!! This is my first alien, I followed the pattern EXACTLY and even bought the Vanna's Choice yarn (it was on sale). He came out pretty good!

The second time around, I changed things up a bit and this little intergalactic traveler was born! I can't decide if its a boy or a girl... but either way, its got spunk! I'll be sending this one over to ShutterKate for the EtsyNJ donation basket. Check out the blog for all the details and all the other great donations!

I plan on making another alien for Dean with my rainbow variegated yarn, since he's obsessed with it. Not sure if I have enough, but I can always make his hands and feet red or blue, I have tons of that!

Hooray for Amigurumi!

PS - Keep an eye on my shop, I just make some great new necklaces and you never know when one of these cute little guys will show up there! If you are interested in buying one of these cute little fellas, feel free to contact me!
