Green for the Holidays!

Red seems to get all the attention during this time of year, but green is just as important (I'm not talking about cash here, folks, I'm talking about the color green). This one of a kind beaded necklace would make a great holiday accessory plus, you can wear it again on St. Patrick's Day and during the spring too!

Don't forget the matching bracelet! Get 15% off when you buy both!

Item of the Week - Guardian Angel Bracelet

Good morning blogland! I apologize for not posting a featured item last week, my day job was hectic all week and my little guy was sick, so add them together and I had no free time for blogging or creating.

This week's featured item is an adorable guardian angel bracelet that I've made in various sizes over the years. I bought several fimo clay angel and heart beads and decided to pair them with red bicone plastic beads and oxidized metal spacers. This bracelet is great for any occasion - hearts for Valentine's Day, angels for inspiration and comfort - and it can be made to fit any wrist size from 5 inches up to 8 inches!!

Purchase this bracelet anytime between now and midnight on Sunday, February 7, 2010 and put "I believe in angels" in the notes to seller at check-out and you will receive a super cute surprise magnet. Please also include in the notes to seller if you would like the bracelet in a specific size, if you do not, I will select one for you.

Least Views

I started talking about views a couple of days ago before I got distracted by all the cute Santa items from my fellow EtsyNJ and EtsyBloggers folks. I showed you my item that had the most views in my shop. Now, I'd like to call some attention to the red headed step child of Made By Melissa, that's right, the least viewed item...

I wish I could say why these earrings have only ten views, perhaps the picture isn't the greatest, but I must admit, its really hard to get a good picture of something that is clear! Anyway, these super cute glass stars are accented by charcoal grey seed beads and hung from fish hook ear wires. Adorable, classy and shiny! Please hang these from your ears!

Hey! Your Ears are Naked!

Do you have naked ears? GASP! You do?!? Well, these vintage pink crystal earrings will remedy the situation!

They are super sparkly and are made with reclaimed crystal beads from a broken vintage necklace. There are two crystal beads accented with a silver plated spacer bead and a tiny sterling silver bead hanging from an ear wire. The earrings measure 1 inch long not including the wire.

Pink isn't your color? No worries! Check out the earring section of my shop for more colors and styles. Just in case pink is your color, click here to see all the pink goodies in my shop!

Wearable Stone

Yesterday I showed you my fancy schmancy crystal bracelets and today I decided to show you some totally different bracelets. These two bracelets were both made with stones. Yes, stones, like rocks, only not the rocks my two year old plays with at the park - smooth, polished stones.

The first of the stone bracelets is actually rather dainty and is surprisingly light considering its made of little rocks! The smooth pillow shaped beads have swirls of peach and slate gray, each one being a little bit different than the ones next to it. They are accented with little round black stone beads and secures with a magnetic clasp.

The second stone bracelet is chunky and fun! Its made with big ole green mossy colored stone beads that are accented with teeny tiny silver plated seed beads. This one was made on elastic stretchy cord and has no clasp, mostly because all of my clasps are so small and looked really silly next to the beads.

Crystal Formal Bracelets

I love shiny things! They always catch my attention, especially when I see someone wearing a shiny accessory. I have two simple yet fancy and oh so shiny bracelets that are sure to catch everyone's eye at your next shindig. They feature bicone crystal beads and glass seed beads in two sizes. I have three available, but only two are listed in my shop at the current time - blue and white, black and white and red and white.

The great thing about these bracelets is that even though they are a perfect accessory to any formal attire, they are also simple enough to be worn everyday.
