Happy Birthday!!

I'd like to wish a very happy birthday to my first born, my baby girl, my puppy Mae! Mae is now four years old! It's hard to believe that we've had her for four years. We got her when she was just 8 weeks old and 8 pounds, now she is 4 years old and 45 pounds!

The Dog's Wishlist

For the first time ever, Made By Melissa has a special guest blogger, none other than, Mae, the family dog, otherwise known as my first born. Mae apparently has been surfing Etsy while my husband and I are away at work and has compiled the following wish list:

Hi, my name is Mae, I am a doggie, I live with Melissa and the man and the child. Melissa pets me and brushes me and feeds me. I make the man take me outside to walk around in circles in the middle of the night, I don't really have to go pee-pee, but he thinks I do, so he takes me out. The child scares me sometimes, I get even by eating his food and pulling his socks off his feet. He smells bad, sometimes they blame it on me. I don't like it when they do that. I want presents, these are the presents I want.

I like to play, I like toys, I like toys that make noise, I like to play tug with the man, I like to try to pull him off the couch, its fun. I want a new toy! Ribbon Necklaces!

Ribbon necklaces are my newest favorite jewelry item to make. They are so cute and colorful and can be custom made to your favorite colors. These necklaces were a big hit with the little ladies at my craft show. Quite a few moms were pulled back to my table with a little whisper "Mommy, can I have one?".



I have several in my shop right now, I have been pairing them with clay charms. The kitty cats seem to be most popular, with the flowers a close second. I also have puppy dogs, fish, and dragonflies.



I have the kitties available in 6 different colors and 4 different breeds of dog.

Vote for Mae!

I was home with Dean and Mae yesterday since Dean has pink eye and couldn't go to day care until he was on the medication for 24 hours. He was giving me such a hard time about taking a nap. I finally laid him down on the couch and wrapped him in a cozy fleece blanket. He still put up a fight... until... Mae jumped up on the couch and curled up at his feet. Then he finally settled down and they both took a nice long nap.

It was just too cute for words, so I snapped a picture to send to my hubby to brighten up his work day. Then it dawned on me! Dogster.com's contest! Its perfect!!
