Awesome Recycling!
Inspiration tends to hit at the oddest moments. I was unpacking a new remote control car for my son and noticed these little plastic thingamagiggies that sit against the styrofoam with those annoying twist ties that hold every possible edge of the toy down. Now, I understand we want to make it hard for people to reach into the box and pluck out the toy and sneak out of the store, but gosh, have these people ever sat with an excited kid that just wants to play with their new toy?!?
Anyway, I had these three little pieces of plastic sitting on my table and noticed for the first time that they are pretty cool looking. I played around with them and finally decided that they would make an awesome layered pendant and I just happened to have blue and black satin cord in my supply stash. Voila! Recycling at its best!
Be sure to snatch this bad boy up before someone else does because I don't anticipate many new toys coming our way until my son's birthday in May!

Family Wish List
There is something for everyone on Etsy! I love to browse and often find myself hearting things that I totally want and also things that my loved ones would like. I currently have the perfect gift for my husband, my almost 2 year old son and as always for me.
My husband loves TV and movies and has many favorites, but Star Wars ranks very high on his list and this Boba Fett Tshirt by avazava would surely put a smile on his face!
My son's newest obsession is coloring. The boy could sit with crayons and scrap paper for hours drawing pictures. He started off just scrawling and scribbling all over the place, but now I noticed that he is trying to make small shapes. I am quite impressed and very proud of my little guy, and I know for a fact that he would love this Take-A-Long ART FOLIO by whimseys.
I LOVE sprinkles - I like them on ice cream, cookies, cupcakes and whatever else you could think of putting sprinkles on. I've been eyeing up a lot of the things in stoopidgerl's shop for quite some time now and I think this Sprinkles in a Bottle Resin Necklace is my favorite.

EtsyBlogger Featured Member - Designs By Nora
The featured EtsyBlogger for the month of March is Designs By Nora. I admit that I have not visited her shop before, but as soon as I clicked through and it loaded up, I said to myself "I want it!!".
These flower stud earrings are just perfect for my current fashion taste. I like to wear earrings, but I need to wear small earrings that won't catch my toddler son's attention and thus make him say "oooohhhh" and grab at my ears. But, at the same time, I want something that is pretty and that will make adults say "oohhhh pretty" (b/c most of the adults I know, will not tug and yank on my earlobes).
As I am writing this, Nora has the flower studs available in ten different yet equally fabulous colors as well as star studs. So, hurry on up and grab yourself a pair, she's having a sale and these pretty earrings won't be hanging on for long!

Spring has Sprung!
Spring! After a long snowy winter its a relief to see the temperatures climbing and the sun shining. Of course, for me, it also means the eyes will be itching, the nose will be running and my rescue inhaler will be getting a work-out! Even though my allergies will be in full bloom, spring is still a welcome season. I love it when its warm enough to stroll out in a fleece or light sweater and I really love the fact that my son can play outside again. A 2 year old boy has TONS of energy and my small living room just can't contain him, so being able to play outside really brightens both our days.
Spring always makes me think of flowers, and I do have some sweet flowers in my shop (and they won't make you sneeze!):

I want it: Baby Dragon
